Printing & Media Award 2009

Evers-Druck has been nominated as a finalist in category "Umweltorientiertes Unternehmen des Jahres" (Environmentally Friendly Company of the Year) as a potential recipient of a Print & Media Award 2009. A 21-member panel of judges nominated the company. Five each participants are selected as finalists for each category in conjunction with a pre-selection process. Evers-Druck applied citing its low CO₂ emissions achieved through consistent energy optimization efforts for a period of close to 25 years as a basis for its selection.

Even in eras when the level of environmental awareness in society overall and businesses specifically was very limited, we already implemented a slew of activities aiming at the optimization of the resources we used. The current gas and electricity consumption levels (based on the volume of paper processed) at our company, based on a benchmark comparison of published environmental declarations of our competitors, are far below average.

For the period from 1985-2009, the company listed detailed steps aiming at attaining continuous optimization.
Looking back, it is clearly evident that the large number of activities resulted in a verifiable reduction of the company's CO₂ emissions.
